Anti-Inflammatory Foods

In an interesting article in the December issue of US News & World Report, Deborah Kotz explains that inflammation is the common factor across many diseases.

Dr. Ann Kulze, offers these food sources for combating inflammation:

Omega-3 Fats
Sources are salmon, tuna, walnuts, flaxseed and canola oil

Colorful Produce
Chemicals called flavonoids have anti-inflammatory properties and give produce
their color.
Sources: Red onions, tomatoes, broccoli, red grapes, berries, organges

Herbs and Spices
Ginger, turmeric, rosemary
