Some Tips on Living Longer
My hometown paper, The Plain Dealer, recently wrote an article about some ways you can increase your years on earth. Here are some methods that can add 5 or more years
* Floss Your Teeth -- gives you 6.4 years according to Dr. Michael Roizen, Chief Wellness Officer (is that a great title or what?) at the Cleveland Clinic
* Cross-Country Ski or Run Long Distances -- for 5.7 years of more fun
* Have a Good Attitude About Aging -- amazing you can gain 7.5 years if you have a positive perception of aging. That's from a study done by Miami Univ. in Oxford, Ohio
* Be Spiritual -- Having faith adds 8 years.. but you have to attend some type of service regularly
* 4 Simple Habits-- With this four you can adding a whopping 14 years!
1) Don't Smoke
2) Limit alcohol
3) Exercise Daily
4) Eat 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables.
