Now I Can Enjoy My Muffin, With My Coffee

Today Starbucks announced that it is cutting trans fats from its food in half of its stores across the U.S.

For me that's good news as I'm a big Starbucks fan who rarely gets the goodies with my coffee due to trans fat.

Although I've always enjoyed Starbucks, I became a fan when I saw a profile of its CEO, Howard Schultz, on "60 Minutes." Turns out every single employee, no matter how many hours they work, are covered by health insurance. He vowed that when he became a business owner none of his employees would be without health coverage as his father was without coverage when he was injured on the job when Howard was a boy.

Howard has even raised the price of coffee just to cover these expenses.

Once I found that out I really enjoyed my coffee knowing that the employees are covered. Now I can enjoy that muffin as well.
