Starting Tomorrow-- A Healthy 3:00 Snack
It's mid-August, but it's not too late. All summer you have wanted to make the switch to healthy snacks. Over the weekends you can do it -- summer fruits, salads, watermelon. It's easy.
But come Monday at 3:00 the vending machine is calling your name. You try your bottled water but it just cannot override the lure of the candy bar just down the hall. Well, here's a method that has actually worked for me.
Bring to work a large container of either cherries, strawberries, blueberries or watermelon. And make sure it's large... it has to compete with a candy bar.
At 3:00 sharp, place it it a bowl next to your computer or wherever you will be from 3-5. Now each one or two at a time. It will take you at least 15 minutes to go through that bowl and I guarantee that you will feel so full that the candy bar loses it's allure.
And then you will have eaten all of the colorful fruits that are supposed to be in your diet. You will have given your body extra nutrients that will make you feel better and provide good fuel.
And best of all , you will feel so proud of yourself for being strong enough to resist that candy bar!
