Turkey Provides A Healthy Dose Of Courage

Feeling more courageous today? You think it's because you handled all of your friends and relatives with uncommon grace this year, right? Well it's actually the turkey. A study out of McGill University in Montreal (one of my favorite cities) found that the amino acid in turkey called tryptophan actually helps people behave more assertively. Researchers believe that tryptophan increases the level of serotonin which can assist people in gaining more courage. Other sources of trytophan are salmon and cottage cheese. Isn't it amazing the affect food has on us?
