A Healthy New Year
As a new year begins in my religious tradition , I am reviewing this past year and wondering why I have always felt so optimistic about things. I have come to the conclusion that not only is optimism important to good physical health, it's very important to inner health --- our souls. In my life what feeds my soul is the encouragement of family and friends. I am lucky to have family members, friends and colleagues who not only listen to my dreams but encourage them. They make up my own personl cheerleading squad that spurs me on to move toward my personal and professional goals. They share my enthusiasm and offer their own to whatever idea I want to pursue. A phone call, conversation or email is all I need to feel their positive energy and I feel charged.
My message to those reading this blog is to make this year the one that you fill your life with people who encourage and support your dreams. If you don't have these type of people in your life presently, be on the look out for them since they are always around -- you just have to be open to them. And choose a dream that you want to work on this year... you don't have to achieve it in one year ... but start pursuing it and you'll be very surprised at who shows up to help you.
