Day 6 in 5 Steps to Natural Living
1) Nutrition: Vitamin C is the all-around disease prevention source. I use it at the first sign of a cold as well as an everyday supplement. You can take a capsule but it's often better to take the foods that contain Vit. C as you get extra nutrients at no extra charge! And nature has a better way of combing nutrients through the soil and into our food than we do creating it in a lab.
In addition to oranges here is a list of other foods high in Vit C: alfalfa, dandelion, garlic, horseradish, kelp, parsley, papaya, strawberries and watercress.
2) Exercise: A few weeks ago when I was having a practioneer check for any weaknesses in my system using meridian points, he suggested jumping on a trampoline as an excellent form of exercise especially good at keeping the lymph system healthy. If you don't have one you can simulate the motion, keeping you feet on the ground and bouncing gently. He recommended twice a day for 5-10 minutes.
3) Stress Reduction: Laughter is one the best forms of reducing stress. It also give your internal organs exercise.
4) Home Remedies: For indigestion try adding 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to water. This remedy also prevents food poisoning.
5) Outlook on Life: Be appreciative of all of the good things in your life. I usually express thanks for all of my good fortune when I arise in the morning or right before I fall asleep. It keeps things in perspective.
